Supreme x The North Face - Expedition Pullover Jacket

At the beginning of March, Moose Limited created quite a stir with an exclusive, previously unseen collaborative jacket from Supreme and The North Face. Now, the news is official with fresh release and product information from the duo. Supreme had partnered up with The North Face to create the Expedition Pullover which is designed with a 100% waterproof nylon 3layer faille weave shell with tricot backing and full taped seams for all-weather protection. The Expedition Pullover comes in three colorways, camouflage, black and a bright red/blue version. The jacket is perfect for men on the go as it is lightweight and warrants protection against both rain and wind chills. The jackets will be available in-store and online on March 18, and for those in Japan, they will be dropping on March 20.

J Dilla Donut Shop Pack

We recently showed you a three-part documentary film that paid respect to the work of J Dilla. Dilla’s production has provided the backdrop for some of our generation’s finest hip-hoppers–A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Tha Pharcyde, and Slum Village, among scores of others. Stones Throw Records, with whom he released the “Champion Sound” and “Donuts” albums, is releasing a Donuts pack album. This pack features three unreleased instrumental tracks selected by Beat Junkie J. Rocc, three altered instrumental versions of songs he crafted for Mos Def, Q-Tip, and Busta Rhymes, two donuts slipmats, and two control vinyl records for use with Serato Scratch Live interfaces. The pack is available for pre-order now from Stones Throw’s site (where you can also download an unreleased Dilla instrumental from the album), and it will release the day after Mother’s Day, May 10th, so get yours now and support the Dilla Estate.

Union LA x Mos Def “Ecstatic Moments” Exhibition T-Shirt

“Photographer, filmmaker, visionist Cognito showcases rare performance and behind-the-scenes images captured during the two year journey of making and supporting the June 2009 release of “The Ecstatic” (Downtown Records.) This special one-week exhibition features candid photographs of Mos Def, including images from visits to the Cape of Great Hope,South Africa, performing in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and a powerful series of US Summer Tour “end-of-the-night posse shots” featuring such artists as Jay Electronica, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu, and even a surprise guest appearance by the legendary Shuggie Otis. Cognito has also immortalized Mos Def in bright moments from “The Ecstatic” studio sessions with producers Madlib, OH NO,Preservation & Georgia Anne Muldrow. The photographs in this exhibit, soon to be published in book format, are offered by Mos Def to his family, friends and fans in order to share the many “ecstatic moments” he experiences while creating, recording, traveling and performing around the world.”
